DRD Rabbitry started in 2003 with our niece wanting a bunny. Well, her interest has moved on to other things, but the adorable bunny captured the hearts of the big kids, Dody – Ron – Debbie, hence 40 bunnies and growing. I am Dody Haughey. My husband, Ron King and I, along with my sister, Debbie Pitsch raise Mini Lops outside of Urbana, OH. We started with what we felt were good rabbits. We found out very fast that we were definitely wrong. In every endeavor, you always have room for learning and improvement, but we have come a long way since 2003. We can tell the difference between a poor type and an excellent rabbit. It’s that middle road rabbit that’s a little difficult to evaluate. It’s always fascinating to talk to Breeders that have been in the rabbit business for a long time. They are a wealth of information and are always willing to help us “rookies”. We are always trying to improve our stock – so our goal to produce the “best” rabbit continues. We are 4-H leaders in Clark County and are true believers that every child should know what it is to raise an animal. We are proud to support the 4-H & FFA programs. We thoroughly love working with our 4-H members. We have met numerous people while working with 4-H, FFA and our rabbits, and are pleased to say some of these people are now our very good friends. Well, I could think of a lot worse places to live!
